CCWS is a modified version of SunSoft INTERACTIVE UNIX 4.0. The CCWS OSpreserves all the powerful features of SunSoft INTERACTIVE UNIX whileallowing this version to boot-up across an Ethernet LAN and then runmemory based by switching the root mount point to a RAM disk. Thebenefit of this OS, in a client-server arrangement, is the elimination ofclient hard disks and the triple cost liabilities associated with them;initial purchase, maintenance, and system administration. The systemrequires a 125 MB hard disk for a server and no hard disk for theclients; 8 MB of RAM is required on the server and a minimum of 16 MB ofRAM is required for clients.
